The Blues Box - is a swing blues band located in Newcastle, NSW. To see our recent history go to the history page.

The repertoire features an array of swing and blues from the 1920s onwards but have a heavy concentration of material which reflects the electronic heyday of the Southside of Chicago in the 1960s. We play an increasing number of our own style of urban blues.

--> We have been rehearsing new material and working on a studio CD. The recession is not helping in terms of hotels offering bands work.

--> We also have parted company with our drummer/singer and are looking for new players to get us back on the road as soon as possible.
